Stingray Linkage

This piece was originally made on the computer as a single stingray. Once I had the first one cast I made a rubber mold in order to do a piece with multiples. This piece requires no jump rings or clasp since they were already built into the design, allowing it to become one seamless piece.

How did you get from the computer image to the first casting?
Thank you. I need to look into these 3D printing systems....
Rhino is a good program to use. And printing can be done now in everything from wax to plastics to even gold itself. However, if you are looking for something a whole lot cheaper for your own purposes a milling machine is a lot more affordable.

yeah, I've seen here stuff before. It's quite amazing. I can't even figure out how she does that on the computer.

I've actually had a few people say that to me when I've worn it out. They are kind of similar in shape. I mean, they even refer to a stingray's size by the length of its 'wings.' But, thank you!
